Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take the KTM train?
KTM doesn't go directly to either jetty. Closest stop is Kluang (Jurong-bound ETS) — from there it's a 1.5-hour bus to Mersing. Adds time without saving cost.
Is car rental worth it?
For 4+ travellers, yes. Splits to ~RM 50/person and gives total flexibility. For solo travel, bus is cheaper and less stressful.
How early should I arrive at the jetty?
60 minutes before ferry departure. Check-in queues form, especially weekends. Last-minute arrivals can miss boats.
